The Hotel

The Genevieve Hotel is a grand Regency grade II listed  townhouse hotel with unusually large rooms for Brighton hotels, where you can relax in comfort during your holiday, weekend away, business or conference visit.

Big beds are our hallmark so spoil yourself and try one of our Executive rooms, either the Super Kingsize balcony room with a full size 6ft wide bed or one of the 4-poster rooms with a solid wood 5ft Kingsize 4-poster bed all complimented with luxury furnishings and DVD/CD players.  

We are located in the fashionable area of Kemp town - Brighton, literally a stones throw from the seafront and Brighton Pier, within easy access to many pubs, cafes & restaurants as well as being close to the shops, the famous lanes and conference centres.

Breakfast

For breakfast we offer the choice of a full English cooked fresh to order with egg, bacon, sausage, Heinz baked beans, mushroom & tomato or a Continental with croissants, grapefruit and a selection of fresh fruit both served with cereals, fruit juice, tea, coffee, toast and preserves. Served from 08.00 to 09.00 weekdays and 08.45 to 09.45 at weekends and Bank Holidays.

 

The Rooms

All our rooms have full en suite facilities with either shower or bath & wc.

Each room also has remote control colour TV, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries and extensive hospitality tray.  Some rooms on the front of the hotel have great views from their bay window looking down the street towards the sea and Brighton Pier.

We also provide towels, ironing facilities are available should they be required.  There is a payphone available for guest use but we do not have direct dial telephones in any of the rooms.

Location and Directions

Genevieve Hotel is located at the top of Madeira Place just down from St James's Street. Brighton mainline railway station is just a 15 minute walk through the North Laines or a 5 minute taxi ride. Travelling by bus or coach you will arrive at the Pool Valley coach station which it is only a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Arriving by car then follow the A23 towards the seafront then turn left at the roundabout opposite Brighton Pier heading towards the marina.  Madeira Place is then the 5th turning on the left from the roundabout. For parking on Madeira Place and the surrounding streets we can offer vouchers costing £6.00 per 24 hours or for short term parking between 9.00am and 8.00pm you can buy tickets from the machines. Alternatively there is an NCP car park just 2 minutes walk from us in the High Street. If travelling by air the nearest International airport to Brighton is London Gatwick that is only a 35 minute journey by car or less than 30 minutes by train.

Booking Conditions

1. To confirm any bookings we require a minimum deposit of one nights accommodation (non refundable) and can accept payment by credit or debit card with the card holders name & address.

2. Once a booking has been confirmed a contract is entered into by both parties and any cancellation or amendments are subject to the following charges. Cancellation: - More than 48 hours prior to arrival the first nights accommodation will be charged.  Less than 48 hours prior to arrival time you may be charged up to the full value of your booking.  We shall endeavor to meet any amendments requested to a booking and keep the cost change to a minimum but it could incur an administration fee depending on the changes made.

3. We advise that you purchase suitable travel insurance that would cover any cancellation charges incurred.

4. We operate a minimum stay policy all year round of 2 nights at the weekends or 3 nights over Bank Holidays or longer periods during major events & conferences. Any special rates on offer do not apply for Bank Holidays or Conference periods.

5. For the comfort of other guests, we regret that we do not accept pets, children under 12 years old or any group bookings including Hen or Stag weekends.

6. Due to the requests of the majority of our guests and for your safety the Genevieve Hotel is a non smoking establishment.

7. Check-in times for any booking must be between 4.00pm and 9.00pm unless otherwise previously agreed.  If this cannot be met for whatever reason we shall treat the booking as cancelled and any deposits retained unless you contact us to inform us of the changes immediately.

8. Check-out time is 11.00am.
